Hi Parents!
There was a major mix up this summer with my supplies letter and somehow the
office got the wrong one! One I have NEVER seen BEFORE and they signed my
name to it… I ALWAYS sign “Warm Fuzzies”, or “Warm Fuzzies Always” and I have
never in my life asked for a deck of cards. I’m so sorry… I am trying to
make the best of it. I told the class I would let them keep the pencil
sharpeners for now and see how they do but I’ve found them to be a BIG
distraction in years past. Each year is different and maybe this group will
use them appropriately and take good care of them. BUT I did insist they
take home the POST IT NOTES and the tape… they are definitely not needed.

This is the first year in a long time that I had EVERY child with their
supplies. It figures, right???

As you’ll see below, I collect some supplies to distribute during the course
of the year as we run out. I also send home “wish list items” as when needed
(snacks, tissues and yes, MORE pencils)

I wasn’t going to ask for any composition notebooks because 2nd Graders just
can’t write neatly on those lines but since you bought 2 I will use one and
send the other one home in their backpacks and you can save it for third
grade.

Having 2 children I know what a pain it is to buy school supplies every year
and I finally had such a large collection of unused things that I made
them “check our supplies” following few years before we went shopping.

We had a GREAT first day! It flew by and I didn’t even get to finish the
story I started called First Day Jitters. Can’t wait to finish it Thursday
morning!

I will ITALICIZE things I still need you to pick up for your child.

I’m also posting this on my web page!!

Hi, Big Second Grader! A Warm Fuzzy welcome to you! I'm looking
forward to an exciting year with you in Second Grade! Maybe you will
see me in the Stop n Shop, the Beekman Pharmacy, the AnP or Pet-Pro.
I visit those stores all the time!

Things to be labeled:
$5.25 for student's Scholastic magazine subscription (cash, please)
A backpack A smock (parent’s old shirt is
FINE!)
12 sharpened pencils A pair of scissor
2 Glue sticks
A plastic supply box (to put supplies in)
A soft zipper pencil case
2 erasers
