Our newest course offering is Introduction to Engineering Design, a course
that teaches problem-solving skills using a design development process.
Virtual models of product solutions are created, analyzed and communicated
using solid modeling computer design software(Autodesk Inventor). There are
four major projects that are used to guide the student through the four units
in this course. These projects include the Puzzle Cube, Toy Train, a Reverse
Engineering Project, and Final Design Project.
Next year we will offer Digital Electronics.This course is based on the
principles and laws of traditional electronics and electrical theory.
Students will begin with a study of basic electrical theory then move on to
learn the basic principles and theories of digital circuits.
The curricula used in these two course was created by Project Lead the Way,
Inc. and it embraces the educational tenets of project based learning.
Students develop solutions to solve the problems posed by essential and key
questions stated in each Unit and Section overview.
