Miss Chong has lived in the Hudson Valley since she started working at
Arlington. She grew up in Central New York, in a suburb of Syracuse. Like
the students at Arlington, she began learning her instrument in 4th grade,
and has been playing trumpet ever since! In high school and college, she
played in several different musical ensembles, including concert bands, wind
ensembles, jazz ensembles, brass ensembles and quintets, marching band and
drum corps, and pit orchestras.
She graduated from Cicero-North Syracuse (CNS) High School, SUNY Potsdam's
Crane School of Music (in Potsdam, NY), and The Hartt School (at The
University of Hartford, in Hartford, CT). Free time is spent being social,
reading, and enjoying the outdoors (hiking, biking, skiing, etc).
