What is the TELL program?

The TELL (Teaching Early Language/Learning) program is a unique approach
that was designed specifically for A. S. May Elementary students. It
provides literacy-based instruction to students in grades K-2 to help them
develop pre-literacy skills. Skills that are addressed include phonology,
print and book awareness, basic concepts, vocabulary development and
comprehension of stories. Each student is exposed to the 'language of
learning' and is encouraged to relate the literature to their own experience.
