Since 1989, Ms. Valeo has worked for the Arlington Central School District as
a Speech-Language Pathologist. She is a New York State Licensed Speech
Pathologist and holds the national Certificate of Clinical Competence from
the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Her B.A. degree in
Communication Arts and Theater is from the State University of New York and
she obtained her M.A. in Speech Pathology from Hofstra University. Prior to
working in Arlington, she was employed as the Coordinator of Early
Intervention Services and the Director of Day Treatment Programs at Putnam
Associated Resource Centers.
While in Arlington, she has worked with students in the elementary, middle
and high schools. Arthur S. May Elementary has been her 'home' school for
twenty years.
When outside of school, her hobbies include sailing, reading, sailing, home
improvement tasks, sailing, sewing, sailing, exploring new hiking trails
and... oh... did we mention sailing?
I have worked for the Arlington Central School district since 2003. I
recieved my B.A. in Communication Disorders from the State University of
Buffalo and my M.S. in Education/Speech Pathology from the State Univeristy
of New York at New Paltz. As well as working with school age children, I also
provide early intervention services for chlidren ages 0-3. I am a New York
State Licensed Speech Language Pathologist who also holds the national
Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Language, and
Hearing Association.
