Currently, I am in my twelfth year teaching life science in the Arlington School District. I believe
that the middle school science program can be an enriching experience. I think that the students
should be challenged and presented with the necessary knowledge and skills to meet the needs of a
rapidly changing world. The wonderful thing about this class is that it is constantly evolving to allow the
students to act as scientists to investigate a range of phenomena first hand in a hands-on environment.
It is my hope that every student enjoys their time spent in my classroom and that throughout the year
students ask questions, work hard, and truly think for themselves to head down the path of being a
lifelong learner.
