This page will be updated each Monday evening during the school year. On it, you will find the most current information related to our class and one of the extra credit Spelling words.
For the week of February 6th:
o P.A.R.P. began last week. Students who read for P.A.R.P. can count that time towards their 20 minutes of nightly reading homework.
o Reminders for this Tuesday, Feb. 14:
- Students will be dressing as colonists for activities in the morning (suggestions went home with the cover letter).
- For Valentine's Day, students can give out Valentines to classmates if there's one for every child in the class. A class list was on the back of Friday's cover letter.
o Student Council Electionswill take place this week. Students who wish to run for office need to hand in a speech by Wednesday.
o There will be an Explorers quiz this Thursday, Feb. 16. The children brought home a notes sheet this past weekend.
o The Spelling test this Thursday is on eight words from Chapter 23 and two words from 22. One of the extra credit words is "approach."
o The Tip-of-the-Day homework that was sent home with Friday's cover letter is due this Thursday morning. Please sign or initial as indicated at the bottom of the page to show that you listened to your child read the passage.
o There's no school for students this Friday; teachers will be in meetings all day.
o This is Friendship Weekat Noxon:
- Feb. 13 - wear a sports team shirt
- Feb. 14 - wear pink/red EXCEPTwe're dressing as colonists in gr. 4
- Feb. 15 - kind words t-shirt/button day
- Feb. 16 - wear something green or wear Noxon Spirit Wear
o We will have a Vocabulary quiz next Friday (2/24).
