Today we discussed the LAB: CONDUCTION that was the focus of class on Friday.  Students were to GRAPH the results of the recorded DATA... (many students failed to do this task)
We discussed questions related to the observation and students are to answer them tonight for a much larger potential grade (40 pts added to the 20 pts for the graph)... please do your work...
Students were also presented with the last concept regarding HEAT TRANSFER ~ Convection...
please review all aspects of heat transfer and study the following link for tomorrows class...

Review and Discuss the Terminology and Concepts related to the Electromagnetic Spectrum:  Wavelength, Visible Light, Infrared Radiation, Ultraviolet Radiation, Scattering of Light, Greenhouse Effect
When presented with a diagram of the interaction of radiation and the atmosphere, students will be able to determine the relationships / interactions amoung the concepts presented.

In class ~ we have be working on the 1st two sections of chapter 1 of the textbook in school...
Section 1 deals with ~ Topography
Section 2 deals with ~ Models of Earth ~ Mapping and Latitude and Longitude.

hmwk:  Students recieved a summary sheet today of chapter 1-2.  They are to READ it and UNDERLINE the DEFINITIONS of the KEY WORDS (which are missing!) ~ Then, they have to decide which KEY WORD matches that underlined definition and write it on the blank.

We will be having an Attendance Activity on FRIDAY on these two sections... mostly definitions... (VOCABULARY)
