Homework is assigned each night, Monday through Friday. Monday night's
homework will always be the new spelling words, written three times each in
the spelling notebook. Tuesday night's homework is writing the spelling
words in sentences. Wednesday night's homework is typically two spelling
worksheets that are a review of that week's spelling skills OR it may be a
math worksheet. Thursday night's homework is a spelling review
worksheet, as well as the spelling practice test in the spelling notebook.
Parents should dictate the spelling words to the child, correct the spelling
words, have the child rewrite misspelled words, and then sign their name.
The parent's signature tells me that the parents are aware of how well the
students are prepared for the test. Please remind your child to put the
proper heading on each homework page:

In addition, the children will each have a book buddy bag, in which they will
take home a guided reading level book to read each night at home, and return
to school the next morning. Please be sure that parents sign the form each
night!
