5/27/11- Message for BEEKMAN 4TH GRADE students and parents:
Concert time is approaching! With that in mind, please make sure that all students come prepared with instruments and music on the following dates:
Tuesday, May 31st- ALL 4th grade students will have lessons on this date. Students have been given a copy of that day's schedule for their folders. It will also be posted on the lesson room door that morning.
Friday, June 3rd- The 4th grade teachers have been kind enough to grant us an extra rehearsal before the concert. We will be rehearsing on Friday from 2:15-2:55. As an extra special treat, we will be combining with the 5th grade band to practice our concert music. 4th and 5th grade band musicians will get the opportunity to play together!
Monday, June 6th- CONCERT DAY! We have rehearsal from 1:30-2:10 that afternoon (this is a change from the usual rehearsal time, due to the science test in the morning). That evening, all students must report at 5:30 for the concert (location TBA). Attendance at the concert is mandatory for all band students.
Tuesday, June 7th- In-school concert! We will be performing for the younger students and the fifth graders at 9:15 that morning.
Please make sure all students come prepared for all of these days, and keep practicing band music at home!
