What should I do if I am out sick?

First, Mrs. Wolff doesn't mind if you send her an e-mail
(jwolff@acsdny.org)and tell her you won't be in and ask if there
is anything you can do from home.

When you come back to school, please inform the teacher that you
were out and ask what you can do to get caught up. For best
results, approach the teacher at the beginning of class and not
when she is busy with another matter.

How can I get extra help when I need it?

Just ask. Mrs. Wolff is available most days after
school. It's amazing how much work you can get done after school
with few distractions.

What should I do if I know I am going to be absent?

If you know you are going to be absent, please let Mrs. Wolff
know and ask if there is some work that you can do while you are
out. If we are doing an assignment in class that cannot be done
at home, you may need to wait until you return and then complete
missing assignments.
Sometimes it is necessary to substitute a different assignment
for the one you missed.

Can I hand work in late?

As long as the marking period has not ended, you will always
benefit from handing work in, even if you do not earn full
credit.
Please talk to Mrs. Wolff if you are behind in class. We can
usually come up with a plan to help you out.
