Mr. O'Keefe has been at Cathedral Preparatory Seminary since 1992. He
graduated from Cathedral College of the Immaculate Conception in 1987 where
he earned a BA in English Literature. He earned a Masters Degree in
Religious Studies from St. Joseph's Seminary in 1993 and a Masters Degree in
School Building Leadership from St. John's University in 2010. His post
graduate work has continued in educational technology at Fordham University
and New York Institute of Technology. Dan has worked in several schools
throughout New York State,from the South Bronx to upstate. He has taught
French, English, Religion, Physical Education, and History at the Prep.
He previously served as Assistant Principal for Student Affairs from
1994 until 1999. Currently, Dan is Vice Principal and Academic Dean at
Cathedral Prep. His responsibilities include Director of Admissions and
Director of College Guidance.
He also serves as moderator of the Student Council, the National Honor
Society, the Literary Journal, and the school newspaper, The Current.
Dan is the Varsity Soccer coach as well.
