I received a BS in Marine Biology focusing on vertebrate zoology from Texas
A&M University – Galveston (Go Aggies!) in 1996 and an MS in Conservation
Biology from Antioch University New England in 2006. I began teaching Living
Environment at Chatham in 1999 in addition to Science Links and Science
Research in the Classroom. I currently teach both Living Environment and
Environmental Science.
Having grown up in Spencertown and graduating from CHS, it's very exciting to
be back, teaching in the same room I took Biology in so many years ago! In
addition to teaching, I am one of the co-advisors of the Ecology Club.
Outside of school, I co-teach a Bio Methods lab class at Bard
College as part of the MAT program and am part of their mentor teacher
program. I am also involved in science education research projects with
the Cary Institute of Ecosystems Studies in Millbrook.
