This year our class will have a stuffed pet Monkey named Yiska that each student will get the chance to take home for a few days. Yiska has his own monkey bag and journal which he depends on his fellow classmate friend to write in while he is spending time with them at their home.   The journal is a great way for each child to develop their writing skills as well as share with the rest of the class how Yiska's time sleeping over at the student's house was spent. 

     A very important reminder for all the classmates to remember during their time with Yiska is that he be taken care of and treated just like a real pet would be, so he may stay with us throughout the year.
