How did I get placed in an AIS course?
The easiest way to answer this is to ask you to look at your score on lastyear's State Testing. The highest score possible on the grades 7/8 mathtests was a 4. Students scoring a 1 or 2 are assumed to need additionalmath help to achieve grade level work and are required by NY state to beenrolled in an AIS class (or other intervention as appropriate). Also, astudent can be enrolled based on a teacher's or parent's recommendationif there are available spots in the class.Back to Top
