Example of Endings to stories
Short story
"Woof!" barked the spotted puppy as he stared through the window. His tail
wagged in anticipation. The door slowly opened. The dog felt a whoosh of cold
air from the air-conditioned shop.
Examples of endings
1. End with a Feeling
The dog barked with joy as his owner came out of the shop to pet him.
2. Reword the Beginning
Staring through the window, the spotted puppy barked again as his owner came
to get him.
3. End with a Question
Do you think his owner was as happy to see him?
4. Advise the Reader
Don't leave your dogs alone long. Look how much they'll miss you!
5. End with a Quote
