Hello First Graders!!
Our first project was making a landscape with ourselves in it. We learned the
easy way to draw a person...ALL out of SHAPES we know!
In first grade, one project we will be doing is a self-portrait, which is a
picture you do of yourself. We will learn the correct way to use
scissors to cut paper and create a collage. A collage is a
combination of paper, gluing, drawing and/ or any other combination of
art techniques to make a picture. We will also learn the correct way
to use our glue bottles and the right amounts to put on whatever you
are gluing!
First grade will also be learning about Pablo Picasso...We will look at his
painting "The Three Musicians" and make shapes collages of musicians and their
instruments.
First grade will learning the warm and cool colors of the color wheel by
painting with different lines and patterns. Then we are taking all our
paintings and collaging them into our dream houses with all the details!
