Bonjour to all. I have been teaching in public school since 1990. I
started my career at Phillip Livingston Middle School down the road (kind
of) in Albany. I taught French and during that time, became certified in
Spanish too. I came to Guilderland in 1991 and up until recently have been
teaching both French and Spanish. This year again, I will be teaching all
French in FMS. I urge students and parents to participate together in the
student's study of French.
Language acquisition does not happen by quietly studying at home. Best
results come when there is some interaction. Quiz each other on vocabulary
words or spelling! Do something like label your house in French with
sticky notes, greet one another in French as well as taking leave of one
another with a fun A BIENTOT! Language must be used to stick, so please USE
IT!!!
