Can work be handed in late?

Yes. However, the grade will be lowered slightly depending on
the amount of lateness. The greater the lateness, the lower the grade.

How should my child study for a test?

All tests are announced at least one week ahead of time. An
outline will be presented before each test. ALL tests come right from the notes
we write together in class.

How much homework is my child receiving?

Homework involves the completion of classwork and extension
activities tied to class experiments. Occasionally there will be assignments as regular
homework and maybe a report or two during the year.

How are the grades calculated?

Tests are worth 45%, class experiments are worth 35%, homework is
worth 10%, and classwork/participation counts as 10% of the quarterly
grade.

How do I make up a missed experiment?

How do I find out what work I missed?

Check the website or ask ANY other sixth grade student in
Fairfield. Everybody does the same Science lessons no matter what
