Here is a list of fun activities that you can do with your child to review
letter/power word skills:
1. Write letters/power words with shaving cream. Have your child rub the
cream on a cookie sheet or plastic tablecloth and write with his/her
fingers.
Finger paints on paper can be used as well.
2. Roll Play-doh or Model Magic to form letters/power words.
3. Write letters/power words on construction paper. Have your child trace
over the letters/power words with string, yarn, or Wikki Stix.
4. Use magnetic letters to practice letters/power words.
5. Play Power Word Concentration. Write two sets of power words on index
cards. Place ten words face down
6. Put alphabet letters in a bag. Have your child pick out three letters
and see if they can make a word.
