Welcome to fourth/sixth grade! This is my fourth year at Fairfield. I am the
integrated co-teacher working with the fourth and sixth grade. I have taught
in the Massapequa school district for the past ten years. I
have taught first grade, second grade, third grade, fourth grade, fifth grade
and sixth grade. I have worked in many different classroom models and
settings. I graduated from Dowling College with my BS in elementary education
and special education. I also received my MA in literacy education from
Dowling College. I am married to my wonderful husband and have two sons
Jonathan and Mason. When I am not teaching I love to go to MSG with my husband
and watch The New York Knicks, read at the library, and play with my boys at
the park. I am very excited to be part of the Fairfield family and look
forward to a very productive year in fourth/sixth grade.
I hope to teach my students strategies that they can use to help them learn
the skills they need to be successful in school. Most importantly I will try
to create a classroom environment where all of my students feel comfortable
enough to take risks as learners and develop a lifelong love of learning.
