How long should it take my child to complete his/her homework?

Written homework should take no longer than one hour to complete 
each night. If your child is taking longer to complete the homework,
please contact me.

Can my child celebrate his/her birthday in class?

Absolutely! Please make sure all treats sent in are nut-free.  
Please send me a note the day before
to let me know you will be sending in birthday snacks
and/or drinks. If you would like to send in a drink please send in
juice boxes for the children.

How can I help my child be more organized?

Please encourage your child to put all papers directly into the 
correct folder or section in his/her binder. Also encourage him/her
to complete assignments as they are received to avoid falling
behind.

How can I help my child be prepared for the ELA?

Please encourage your child to read carefully and go back in the 
story to locate his/her answers. He/she should always apply all ELA
Strategies. (The ELA Strategies are laminated and located in
his/her binder.)

When is extra help?

Extra help will take place on Wednesday mornings.  Please write 
a quick note the day before indicating that your child will be
attending and have your child ready with a specific question and/or
topic that they need extra help in.
