Spelling Rules

Unit – 3

 

v-e syllables:

1.       Has a vowel, then a consonant, then an e

2.       The first vowel is long.  To indicate the long, we will mark the vowel with a macron (-)

3.       The e is silent

4.       Proper marking:    lifetime
