Miss Urquhart's 1st Grade Class |
Three For MeThe school-wide Three For Me Program is successfully underway. It is a pledge made by families to volunteer at least three hours of their time throughout the course of the year. In room 123 we are always looking for parents to get involved. Here are some ways to help us out this year: * Volunteer during center time - Each month I will be looking for parent volunteers to come into the classroom during our center time. Volunteers will be asked to monitor and assist the students as well as to be a support in case of technical difficulties with the smartboard and listening centers. *Chaperone class trips - The first grade team is hoping to have a few class trips throughout the year and we are always looking for chaperones to help us out. *Parties - The room mothers may be calling on you throughout the year to bake, provide supplies, or help out in the classroom during our parties. If you are interested in helping with a particular party, please contact one of our room mothers. *Special projects - Throughout the year, we may be doing some special projects that require a few extra pairs of hands :). In February, we will need volunteers to help us with our 100 day celebration. *Paperwork - Some work can be done at home, such as cutting, putting together small books, etc. Some work can be done as school, including making copies, putting together packets, etc. I look forward to working with all of you this year and helping you achieve your Three For Me pledge. I could not do what I do without the support of parents, so I'd like to give each of you a heartfelt thank you. Your dedication and support is much appreciated! |
