About The Teacher

Mr. Gertler - 5th year at Fishkill Elementary  - My first year was as a 
Special Education teacher in the 5th grade inclusion class.  The next four 
years have been as a general education teacher in fifth grade.

Mission For The Class

My mission for this year is for your children to learn, have fun, and 
become better people.  As you could probably tell from Parents as Partners 
Night, I bring hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm on a daily basis.  
Family, friends, and sports are very important to me.  They include, my wife 
Laura, son Ryan (4), daugther Marley (1), Yankees, Rangers, Giants, Knicks, 
and too many friends to list.
