Internships are "Work Experiences" for students at the Junior and Senior levels. Students are set up with an employer in a career field of interest to them and they intern with them for an entire semester to learn as much about the career as possible. Students often shadow the employer, help with anything that needs to be done that the student can handle, ask questions, interview employers, and learn what the career is really all about.
Students earn a half credit for one semester of interning. They must intern at least 4 hours per week and meet with the instuctor a minimun of once a week to discuss the experience and go over the student journals. Students must provide their own transportation and be able to set up a schedule that is convenient to both the student and the employer.
