Foley's Pre-Kindergarten News
Please check web page weekly. In order to save paper we are encouraged to
have news on the web rather than sent home. If you do not check the web you
may be missing some news.
Will the groundhog see his shadow? Will we have a winter at all this year??
We are not getting out here at school to move and get excersise. Please be
sure you get yourself and your child out and moving every day. Getting
outside for fresh air and excersise keeps us all happier and healthier.
Ask your child about our Audubon visit last week. We learned all about
mammals. They learned 3 facts.:
All mammals have:
1. Bones
2. Fur
3. Feed their babies milk.
Valentine’s Day
We will celebrate Valentine’s Day on Tuesday, February 14. I would encourage
you to start making Valentines now. Cutting, creating and coloring
Valentines for classmates is a wonderful way to build many important concepts
including: Practice writing name, practice cutting, creativity, sense of
accomplishment and pride in the finished product. Start early and do one or
two a day. Please let me know if you need another class list. Send finished
cards into school when they are completed. We will finish up holders tomorrow
and start delivering whenever they are ready.
Mrs. T in the high school will be letting us come down and visit her life
skills class on Valentine’s Day. Her students will be helping us make
homemade pizza for a snack for the day. You are welcome to send in a fruit
treat or drink if you wish. Please let me know if you plan on doing so.
Thanks.
Report Cards for pre-k students will be coming home on Friday, February
10th.
2/2 Happy Birthday Manny
2/3 Happy Birthday Jacob
2/5 Happy Birthday Piper
2/25 Happy Birthday Adeline and Curtis
2/20-2/25 No school- Mid Winter Break
FYI- We discussed not sitting in front of the TV, computer and video games
all break. A few children seemed to have a hard time with this idea. We
talked about one show a day and one movie a week was more than enough. Our
class will come up with a list of other activities to do other than screen
time to send home before break. Give your child some ideas to add to the
list.
Boxes of tissues are needed please.
