I am a dedicated educator with over twenty five years of primary school
teaching
experience. I have taught first grade, kindergarten and now pre-
kindergarten here at the Fredonia Central. I taught at the Montessori
Preschool in Silver Creek and I spent one year teaching kindergarten at
Fayetteville-Manlius school.
I was born and raised in Fredonia and graduated from Fredonia High School in
1981. I received my BS in Early Childhood Education and a MS in Reading both
from SUNY at Fredonia. I had the wonderful experience of doing my student
teaching over seas for a semester in Bristol, England.
I have wonderful memories of teaching with my father at SUNY at Fredonia
where we team taught Graduate Reading courses. I have had the pleasure of
presenting at three National Science Teachers Association Conferences. I
spent last summer being a national consultant at
Jamestown's Summer Reading Institute and I have enjoyed teaching at the
Summer Science Camp here in Fredonia.
I live on a small farm with my husband Scott and our three children,
Margaret, Jacob and Clare.
As a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, my goal is to provide a safe, loving
environment where all children can work, play and learn together. With the
help of their parents, I want to help to create children who think, question
and are enthusiastic life long learners.
