How can I reach my child's teacher?
You may call the main office at 227-1756. Press 0 for one of the
secretaries. Ask if the secretary would take a message for your child's
teacher. The secretary will be happy to place a note in the
teacher's mailbox and the teacher will respond at her/his earliest
convenience. You may also write a note and send it to school with your
child. If it is an emergency or a change in dismissal or pick up, the staff
in the main office will call the teacher's room.
If I need to pick up my child at school , what should I do?
Send a note to school with your child. Please write the child's first and
last name and the name of the person who will be picking him/her up.
Please specify the time of pick up. The teacher will
make sure that the main office receives the note. If
the pick-up time is before dismissal, come to the main office to sign out
your child. If you plan to pick up your child at dismissal, please indicate
this on the note. You may park in the lower parking lot. The lower lobby
doors will be opened at 3:25. Your child will be waiting in one of the
designated dismissal rooms on our lower level. You must sign out your
child whenever you pick her/him up.
If my child is absent, how can I obtain his/her classwork or homework?
Each teacher has a classroom policy regarding missed schoolwork or homework.
These policies are explained at Parents as Partners Night or you may ask your
child's teacher directly. Please remember that it takes a bit of time for
the teacher to collect the necessary materials and to and write instructions
for missed work. Therefore, absent child work should be picked up at the end
of the school day. Materials will be labeled and placed on the table in the
front lobby, adjacent to the main office entrance.
