| | Accelerated Reader is a very popular and motivating program at Gayhead.
Students can choose a book at their reading level, read the book, and take a
comprehension test on a computer at Gayhead. Each book is worth a certain
amount of points. When students reach a certain point goal, they receive a
ribbon and their names are read during morning announcements by Mrs. Dollard,
one of our Reading Specialists.
You can click on the links below to find books that are included in our
program. The "Accelerated Reader Book List by Title" shows a complete list of
books listed alphabetically by title. The "Accelerated Reader Book List By
Level" shows the complete list by book level. Make sure the book you choose
is at your reading level. (Example: RL 2.3 would be appropriate for a second
grader in the third month of school).
