What is AIS?

AIS stands for academic intervention services.  Students receive these services if they have scored 
below the state minimum on state tests and if they have been referred by classroom teachers.  This 
services is reevaluated thoroughout the year to see if students continue to need the support.  At the 
seventh grade level Mrs. Berger provides AIS services to students for English Language Arts and Mrs. 
Wegener for math.

Do all students have to take a music class?

Students in 7th grade must take a music class per NYS requirements.  In 8th grade students may elect 
not to take a music elective.
