Regardless of the decision you may have made, Hitler's "Final Solution" was thankfully never fully
carried out. Concentration camps were soon liberated giving the Jewish prisoners not only aid but
freedom. The damage was done however. Throughout the time period known as The Holocaust, over
6 million Jewish people died. I doubt that this webquest has truly answered the question: How could
this have happened? But, perhaps you gained a new insight to how the tragedy was carried out. No
internet site or artifact can take the place of a survivor's story. This is what you experienced reading
"Night." How difficult it must be to recount such an awful experience! We must be thankful to people
like Elie Wiesel who see the importance of teaching The Holocaust to future generations. I would
hope that reading Night and completing this webquest will leave you with more questions than
answers. It is by questioning our history that we can avoid repeating it. Congratulations on
completing your webquest! Be proud of the work you have done!
