Thank you for all your help at our Halloween Party. We had such a great time!
SNAPSHOT OF THE WEEK:
E.L.A- Guided reading groups will continue with a focus on realistic fiction.
While I work with groups, the remaining students will be engaged in Reading
Workshop activities. Monday's will designated for E.L.A. Test prep. We will
begin practicing how to take notes for the listening section of the test.
Math- Unit 2 Everyday Math Program
Each day students participate in math drills for 20 minutes. During this
time, we play games as a whole group or in partners. I give a formal
assessment at the end of each week. We have officially begun Multiplication!!
The kids are so excited.
S.S.- We will begin our unit on Egypt.
Science- We will continue our unit on Buoyancy. The kids are really enjoying
the experiements. Students are learning how to make observations and record
their data.
Writing- This week we will continue to discuss the differences between;
there, their and they're. Later in the week, we will discuss the use of
quotation marks.
Cursive-This week students will practice lowercase a,d,g,q and c. We will be
completing our first cursive packet!
Note: I have had a difficult time uploading documents onto this website.
Until I can figure out the problem, I will be posted the spelling words for
each week here.
