Monthly Update

Happy New Year and welcome back!  I am looking forward to a great 2009.  We 
have begun our Historical Fiction unit in reading and will begin the writing 
in the next week or so.  Your child will be reading many historical fiction 
books and then will be picking a historical event/time period to research 
for a powerpoint project.  You will be invited to come and see your child 
present his/her project.  I will keep you posted on the date and time.

Math State Exam is in March!

Due to the Math State Exam coming up in March we will be having math 
homework on a daily basis.  Please make sure your child completes his/her 
homework daily.  This will help prepare your child better for the test.
