GATES MILLENNIUM SCHOLARSHIP - scholarship is awarded by Bill and Melinda Gates for low income African-American, American Indian, Alaska Native and Hispanic students.  Apply online before Monday, January 12, 2009, at www.gmsp.org

AXA ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP - if you are ambitious and goal oriented, apply for this scholarship - deadline is December 15, 2008,  www.axa-achievement.com 

BURGER KING SCHOLARSHIP - $1000, YOU MUST APPLY ONLINE @ www.bk.com/scholars   Deadline is February 2, 2009.

monroe professional engineer's society - $2000 award for seniors planning to study  engineering; deadline is December 19, 2008

NFIB YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR AWARD- If you are a senior and have the entrepreneural spirit, you will want to apply for this scholarship of up to $10,000.  You must apply online @ www.NFIB.com/YEA.  The deadline is December 15, 2008.  For more information, please come to the counseling office.

MCKELVEY FOUNDATION ENTREPRENEURIAL SCHOLARSHIP - if you are a business owner and plan to attend a 4-year college, go to www.mckelveyfoundation.org and complete the online application. Deadline for submission is January 25, 2009

KFC SCHOLARS PROGRAM - Are you pursuing a 4-year degree, with a GPA of 2.75 or higher?  Apply for this scholarship online at www.kfcscholars.org beginning December 1, 2008-February 10, 2009.  This scholarship is worth $20,000 over 4 years.

 The Better Business Bureau is offering two scholarships:   one to a senior based on academic excellence, community involvement, leadership abilities and ethical behavior and the second to a senior majoring in technology or science.   Applications are available in the counseling office and are due in the counseling office by January 16th.

Dorothea Deitz Scholarship -available to women in New York State who are planning to major in the field of Physical Education.  Scholarship information is available in the counseling office or online at www.nysahperd.org    Deadline is March 1 2009.

 EMPIRE STATE POTATO GROWERS - FOR SENIORS PURSUING AN AGRICULTURAL-RELATED CAREER.  APPLICATION AVAILABLE IN THE COUNSELING OFFICE OR ONLINE AT WWW.NYPOTATOES.ORG  DEADLINE IS JANUARY 15, 2009

PDK INTERNATIONAL - for seniors majoring in education.  Deadline is February 1, 2009

 ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION - Senior diagnosed with arthritis or related condition.  Deadline is April 15, 2009
