  3. Missing assignments:

Homework

HOMEWORK IS NOT AN OPTION ITS A REQUIREMENT!
It is your responsibility to record your assignments correctly in
your planner each day.
Late assignments will be accepted up to a week after due date.
Students will lose 10 points if the assignment is late.
Homework is not meant to be torture. It is there to help you master
skills and ideas we are learning in class. It also gives you time to complete
class-work. A correct heading will be required on assignments.
Your homework should be handed in to the proper bin each morning.
If you dont understand an assignment or have difficulty completing
an assignment, it is your responsibility to contact a friend or bring the
assignment back for help from your teacher the next morning.
You should expect to spend some time every night on homework.
You should also be reading 20 minutes every night in order to
complete the book you are reading for your reading log.

Corrections

If a child receives below a 70% on an assignment (other than quizzes
and tests) he or she can correct the assignment to raise their grade to a
70%. If your child brings home a paper that is less than a 70% and/or
says Fix on the top, please encourage them to correct the paper and hand it
in for a higher grade.

Missing assignments:

When you forget or dont do an assignment, you will need to take your
agenda to your teacher to discuss the missing assignment with your teacher.
If any homework is not done, you will sit during free time and snack
to complete it.
If you have left it home, you will lose free time and may be asked to
do it again.
You will be required to stay after to complete late assignments if
late assignments are an on going problem.
