Hi! My name is Jean Vallance and I have been teaching for the past 8 years,
seven of those here at Keshequa. I completed my undergraduate work at both
Genesee Community (Associates Degree)and Houghton Colleges (Bachelors Degree)
in Elementary Education. My graduate work was in the field of Special
Education and my Master's Degree is through Buffalo State College.
I spent my entire childhood growing up (one of 7 children)in Holland, NY and
live in Arcade, NY with my two children Matthew and Kellie, where I have
recently purchased a home.
My mission for my work here at Keshequa is simple. I chose to work with
students needing some extra support services -- I didn't have to. Students
are growing and changing at such a fast pace as increased expectations and
responsibilities are put upon them by both family and society. Those with
educational hurdles need extra help to strive to be the best they can
possibly be -- at their individual level and/or ability. It's plain and
simple -- I encourage students to put forth their geniune, best effort and
offer extra help whenever needed.
