Dear Parents -
Your child will receive daily homework Monday through Thursday. ELA homework
will include reading, practicing vocabulary, spelling words, and ELA skill
practice. Also, there will be daily Math practice. Social Studies
vocabulary and comp. questions, and occasional Science work will also be
assigned. A detailed daily schedule will be sent home with each child in
their LMS Homework Tracker. In addition - studying and project work will be
ongoing.
Homework Guidelines:
Homework is an integral part of your child's education. It provides the
daily practice and reinforcement necessary for excellence. I expect homework
to be completed on time on a daily basis to the best of your child's
ability. I encourage you to work with your child as necessary to complete
their work to promote neatness, correctness, understanding, and to keep you
abreast of what content is currently being covered. Please let me know of
any difficulties your child experiences with the content and I will be happy
to find additional time to assist them.
1. All homework should be completed daily and ready to be handed in at the
appropriate time.
2. Students with incomplete assignments will be kept in for lunch
detention. They will complete a "Homework " form which will be brought
home to be signed and returned. They will use the remainder of the time
to work on the owed assignment. The form will show if it was completed
or not by the end of the period.
3. Students will have TWO days to make up an assignment and earn a maximum
grade of 75%. If the assignment is NOT received by the second day the
student will recieve a zero.
3. If there are extenuating circumstances due to illness, etc. the time will
be extended as necessary .
