I have been teaching for 14 years in three different school districts - New
York City (2 years) and Valley Central (3 years) before coming to Matthew
Paterson Elementary School. I came to MPES 9 years ago and returning to
Matthew Paterson is like coming home for me since I went to school here! I
have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Elmira College and a
Master's degree in Reading and Special Education from Manhattanville
College. I also have Reading Recovery training, PAF training and Orton-
Gillingham training.
I live in Holmes with my husband and two boys. Cameron is 11 years old and
in the sixth grade. Tyler is 8 years old and in third grade. They are into
lots of activities including soccer, Cub Scouts and skiing.
