Mrs. Taylor has been an ESL teacher in Carmel since 2002. She has taught
at all the elementary schools in Carmel and now is fulltime at Matthew
Paterson Elementary School. She also teaches some English language classes
at Manhattanville College.
Mrs. Taylor lives in Patterson. Both her 31-year old daughter and 26-year old
son attended MPES and graduated from CHS. She also has two cats and loves to
garden and travel.
The goal of the Carmel ESL Program is to provide English language learners
(ELLs) with instruction to become proficient speakers, listeners, readers
and writers in English in order to meet the State academic standards, as
well as to acquire the social language to help them acculturate comfortably
into American life.
