Borrowing: Students may borrow books at any time during the day with their classroom teacher's
permission. The borrowing period is for two weeks. Please help your child find a safe place at home to
keep books where they will not be lost or damaged.
Inter-Library Loan: Students also have access to materials from other school districts. Students should
see the library media specialist to place these orders. These materials take time to arrive. Please plan
accordingly.
Please email if you have any questions about what your child has out or if your child needs assistance
locating a specific resource.
Missing/Damaged Book: Students are responsible for books they borrow from the media center.
Students must replace or pay for any damaged or lost books if they wish to continue borrowing from
the Menands Library Media Center. Students who have excessive overdues will not be allowed to borrow
from other schools.
