The Menands Library Media Center provides students. staff, and parents with more than 6,000 books,
magazines, and professional materials, providing curricular support, professional growth, and
encourages the investigation of personal interests. During bi-weekly classes the library media
specialist teachers information and computer literacy skills in the context of the classroom curriculum.
Students and teachers also use the LMC to participate in collaborative research and technology based
projects outside of their regular library and computer literacy classes. These skills help students to
develop information seeking skills that will promote lifelong learning in the 21st century.
