Science

Overview:
This year in science, students will focus on the living world and earth
science. In particular they will be studying the classification of living
things, microscopes, cells, nutrition and digestion, astronomy and
catastrophic events. Students will be provided with direct instruction
(notes) and inquiry based instruction (labs).

Help Opportunities:
I expect that some units will be harder for some students and other units
will be easier. I am available for extra help during flex periods and during
band. I am also available after school and during lunch. Students need to
arrange a time to meet with me when they are
struggling.

Homework:
Students will have science homework once or twice a week. It is important
that homework is completed because it applies what we are working on in
class. Students have a textbook and binder that they may use for
reference. If students are struggling, please sign the homework and we will
review it in more detail the next day.
