* Students can do research on the history of popcorn. They can create a written and/or oral presentation about when people started eating it, how it was cooked, and how it is prepared now. Students can also include maps about where the plants are primarily grown. * To incorporate Physical Education students can sing the following song while jumping rope: Popcorn, popcorn in the pot. Popcorn, popcorn piping hot! When it's gone, please don't pout. Just make sure that you jump out. P-O-P-C-O-R-N! (jump out) * It is also interesting to learn about what makes popcorn pop! Students can discover what makes the noise when the kernals pop and why they pop. *Music can be incorporated singing the following songs or any others that you can find or create yourself!
