Will will look at the Eminem and Tori Amos version of "Bonnie and Clyde" in class.

HW: Read the two articles provided in class and determine whether or not each article has a subjective or objective tone.

Wednesday, Sept. 21

Aim: Why do Eminem and Jonathan Edwards use imagery and figurative language?

HW: Find three examples of figuartive language used in "The Way You Lie" and analyze why it is used. (See packet from class.)

Aim: For what purpose does Jonathan Edwards use use Figurative language?

In class we will read "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" and analyze the purpose of the figurative language in the text.
