FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Question:

Will a child be able to participate in Honors Classes, Advanced Placement courses, or receive additional services at a later date if they are not identified at this time?

Answer:

The educational needs of children change as they mature and various services exist to meet their needs at a particular moment in time. Identification for additional services is not a predictor of future success nor a fast-track to educational opportunities.

Question:

How can parents help children understand why they do not receive additional services?

Answer:

Services are needs based. Just like all sound educational programs, additional services are provided to meet the specific needs of certain children. Parents who want to discuss this matter with their child should simply state that their child does not have the need for these services and should encourage their child's participation in School-Wide Enrichment activities.

Question:

Who is the best person to contact with questions about School-Wide Enrichment?
