Introduction

1968 was a watershed year for wartime dissent.  From the March on Washington 
in 1968, public support for the war in Viet Nam declined until 1973 when 
public opinion forced the war in Viet Nam to an end.  

In 2008, wartime dissent is growing about the war in Iraq.  How will this 
dissent impact all Americans?
