Can I celebrate my child's birthday in school?

Yes! I usually send a note home about a week before your child's birthday,
giving you a time to
come in to celebrate if you wish to. If you can't make it in, you are welcome
to drop off a treat in
the main office. We will celebrate all Summer birthdays in June.

day, as well as at home

Do you participate in the Scholastic book clubs?

Yes! The Scholastic book clubs are a great way to buy quality books at a
discounted price. I send
home catalogs about once a month. I usually give you a week or so to peruse
the catalog and
decide if you wish to order anything. Payment is made via check made payable
to Scholastic. Every
dollar spent earns out class bonus points towards FREE books for our classroom!

Can my child bring a snack to school?

Yes! Please pack your child a healthy snack everyday. We have an afternoon
snack time. If
possible, please pack your child's lunch and snack separately so they don't
eat everything at lunch
time. If your child is buying lunch, please pack their money in a baggie or
envelope labeled with
their name, amount of money, and my name.

Yes. We have a spelling and reading test every Friday.
