My name is Jill Watson Truax and I have been teaching and coaching at
Pulaski since 1992. I graduated from PACS in 1985 and went on to earn a
degree in Secondary Education and English from Boston College. From there I
worked in the field of journalism for a few years before earning my Master's
Degree in Reading from SUNY Oswego. As an employee of PACS, I have coached
soccer, basketball, softball, and volleyball, and have taught
Reading/English AIS for the past 13 years. I am also the advisor for
the Varsity and Global Awareness clubs. Even though I never planned to
return to Pulaski after college, I have loved every minute of the experience
as there are no better students, faculty members, administrators, or
community members anywhere in the world! I plan to continue teaching,
coaching, and advising for many years to come as being a member of the PACS
family is my life! In addition, for those of you who knew me as Jill
Watson, I finally married Dennis Truax in 2005 after 13 years of
preparation. We remain loyal to each other, to the Crimson and Blue of
Pulaski, and to our fellow brothers and sisters from Red Sox Nation!
My mission for my students is that they set goals, work hard to achieve
them, and have fun in the process. In addition to helping students improve
on weak skill areas, I strive to make sure that they make the most of their
middle-senior high school experience, gain respect for themselves and each
other, and leave Pulaski with the knowledge and social awareness to become
successful, compassionate, and productive members of society.
