I am ecstatic about teaching this year's tenth graders, especially because I
already know all of their names! I had the opportunity to teach this group
when they were eighth graders. I think it will be wonderful to learn how they
have grown. I am also coaching JV girl's basketbal for the second season. I
am looking forward to a wonderful year here at PACS!
Students will embark upon a wonderful journey in their tenth grade English
course. Students will learn not only about English literature, but also about
the human condition and the interworkings of society. Students will be
encouraged to ask questions about the world they live in and what motivates
people. My goal is to help students empathize with the characters they
encounter and to make connections to their own lives. PACS is a microcosm of
the world at large. Students need to recognize the power they
have in shaping that world and to consider how their actions affect the lives
of others. Students will gain insight about human nature by pulling themes
from literature and making them universally applicable.
